John Walker booklet

To celebrate 200 years since John Walker’s invention of the Friction Match, the impact of his invention on the world, and to leave a legacy for future generations, the British Matchbox and Bookmatch Society has created a 70-page booklet which includes new research and describes how his invention was used, developed and improved to become the everyday match that we are all familiar with today.

The booklet is available through our bookshop from early June.
