Diamond Match Works Liverpool | Following the take over of Collards in February 1895, construction of a new factory at Litherland in North Liverpool began. | June 1896 | The new factory opens with J T Maguire as Manager. | | Many of Collard's brands are continued; but a vast range is introduced including customers own brands. | | 1898 | J T Maguire and his four sons leave to form Maguire Miller and Co. | 1898 | Bookmatch production starts. | Figure 1 Three famous Diamond brands | 1901 | Bryant and May merges with Diamond and it becomes known as the Diamond Match Works Liverpool.
